POSITION DESCRIPTION: NETWORK ENGINEER (HONOLULU)

Referentia Systems Incorporated is seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals to be part of a cutting-edge engineering team to test and evaluate innovative and adaptive security strategies for the Department of Defense.

Provides the support of various networks LAN/WAN topologies, to be used in the evaluation of innovative network security tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) in support of joint military test and assessment operations.

Duties:

• Designs and configures enterprise network(s), including network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls, which would be defendable against external and internal threats.

• Performs secure measures to protect the networks.

• Conducts research and analysis, and evaluates network operations, computer network defense, and associated TTP.

• Analyzes network events to determine the impact on current operations and conducts all source research to determine adversary capability and intent.


• Identifies and/or provides technical analysis of network security requirements necessary for the protection of all information processed, stored, or transmitted by systems.

• Develops response plans for computer security incidents according to the Information Security Policies and Industry Best Practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years of experience or a Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience in a related technical field.

• 2+ years of experience in systems/network engineering, preferably in the DoD and Federal industry.

• Experience with Virtual Secure Enclave (VSE) is desired. CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certification a plus.

• Ability to identify engineering requirements and perform as a member of a security engineering team during development and systems integration.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Strong technical skills required include knowledge or expertise in:

o Switching / routing setup, configuration, and use
o Network security principles
o Encryption technologies and deployment
o Routing protocols
o Quality of Service monitoring and configurations

• Must be able to obtain security clearance
