Network Engineer

Description
Honolulu based technology company is looking for a Network Engineer who will provide technical support for clients through analysis of hardware, software and data, identify the cause of issues, and develop and implement solutions while maintaining and supporting client IT needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with business clients providing technology support and consulting
- Active Directory Maintenance
- Domain & Website Maintenance
- Configuration & installation of workstations, firewalls, backup devices
- Microsoft Server & Exchange Server, installation, maintenance, analysis and troubleshooting
- Remote & On-site administration of backup and archive systems
- LAN, WAN, Firewall, Router & Switch maintenance
- Knowledge of supporting Apple clients and networks a plus
Requirements
- Clean driving abstract
- Good working knowledge of networking and information security
- 3 years minimum experience providing technology services
- LAN/WAN experience required
- Windows 2003/2008 Server experience required
- CCNA or higher certifications highly desired
- Knowledge of Apple networks desired
- After Hour and/or On-call responsibilities as required or defined
- Other IT responsibilities and/or duties may be required or defined

Computer/Technical Skills a plus:
- Linux, VOIP and VMare experience
- Unix (HP-UX) - Sun Solaris 8,9,10
- Linux
- SQL Server & SQL Database Administration
- Informix/Oracle Database Administration
- Sharepoint Support/Administration & Database Support
- FTP Server - VERITAS Netbackup 6.x / NT Backup
- McAfee AntiVirus
- DNS/DHCP Administration
- Fiber Connectivity/SAN
- SAN Storage Management & Administration
- Load Balancing, Clustered Configurations Setup, Management & Administration
- Web Services
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 2003 & 2007

Other Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrates work experience in project and task management proficiency with the ability to prioritize and execute accordingly
- Ability to meet deadlines and follow through on assigned projects
- Ability to work in a changing environment while maintaining a high level of quality and productivity
- Must be able to function as a member of a team but able to work and remain productive while working independently with little or no supervision
- Ability to meet deadlines, follow through on assigned projects and document actions taken
- Able to maintain a professional manner during difficult escalation situations
- Present a professional image in the office, when working with clients and all situations
- May work sitting and standing for extended hours

- Able to walk while lifting a minimum of 40 lbs.
- Able to climb stairs and ladders and crawl under and reach behind office furniture
