We design and manufacture products for the Department of Defense and these products include, but are not limited to high power solid state and vacuum RF amplifiers, RF switches and antennas. Most of the products are designed for airborne applications such as the Navy E2 Hawkeye. NSS has many test assets such as vibe/shock table, temperature/mumidity chamber, terperature/altitude chamber and an EMI chamber. Level I Mechanical Engineer Job Description


Provides radar system (ARS) and communication systems intergration analysis. Creates packaging for critical radar/communication components, and commercial electronics. Performs thermal and structual analysis on line-replaceable assemblies. Assists senior/lead engineers in project execution. Familiar with variety of engineering concepts, practices, and procedures. Works under the supervision of a lead mechanical engineer. Interacts with the projects technical lead, group leaders, senior engineers, machinists, electronic/mechanical technicians, and administrative assistants. A modes degree of creativity is required. A. Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university in Mechanical Engineering.

B. Abilities, Knowledge, and Skills: High level of verbal and written communications skills. Possession of Computer Skills in the following area: Mechanical and/or thermal Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools (Pro/Engineer, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, CFDesign, COSMOS/FloWorks, ICEM CFD, etc). Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Professional Suite. Will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.


Experience in system level mechanical integration of ground based and/or airborne radar/communication systems. Dynamic, static, and thermal design experience packaging sensitive electronic components for airborne applications.
